Young Crows Dominate in Junior Tournaments

Girl Junior Crows

It was a great day for the girls, coach Amy Currie reporting: "the girls had some really strong play today with two wins, two draws and one loss. Lots of goals came from Liv, Lottie, Tilly and Sally. Great goalkeeping work from Isla, strong assists from Catherine and good supporting play from Amber made for some great hockey this afternoon.

Scores were: a 2-0 win against Eastbourne 2s, a 1-1 draw against East Grinstead 1s, a 5-0 win against East Grinstead 1s, a 1-2 loss against Eastbourne 2s and a 2-2 draw against Brighton 2s. An excellent day of hockey."

Boys Junior Crows

Massive well done to the boys and their manager Nathan Smith today. It was an amazing team performance today, which resulted in Crowborough Under 12 Boys winning the friendly tournament at Lewes! They won 3-0 against Lewes, 5-0 against Eastbourne and played a battling 2-4 defeat against Brighton. The team showed great versatility and welcomed the additional player into each game to make up our numbers. Albie was in inspirational form and made many saves to keep two well deserved clean sheets. Max was solid at the back and made great runs up the wing, being rewarded with a couple of assists. Leo made several last ditch tackles to prevent a number of shots and played out from the back with confidence. Benji, came into his own with 2 well taken goals and great link up play while bursting forward at pace. Hayden lead the attack and finished well to get 2 goals with a number of other shots saved on the line. Henry was end to end and full of energy, bagging an incredible 6 goals across the three games. This included a hatrick against Eastbourne. Nathan reported that it was a pleasure coaching and watching this amazing team today. Everyone should be extremely proud of themselves!
