Under 12 Girls Runners Up At Ron Easton Finals

Crowborough Under 12 Girls finished in second place at the Ron Easton County tournament on the 14th of April. They did well in the group stage meaning they faced East Grinstead in the final, where after a valiant effort they succumbed to a 2-0 defeat. Well done to Isla, Matilda, Amber, Lottie, Olivia, Willow, Lydia and Catherine and their coaches Amy and Rob. Thanks to club president Hilary Brown for coming down to support our girls and taking pictures. Also a massive thanks to Keren for all her tournament work as a young umpire mentor; doing a brilliant job again today.

Well done to Ted Fulham and Ethan Blake who were selected as two of the eight young umpires to officiate the County Finals today. Both officiated the Final; Ted for the U10s and Ethan for the U12s, and both did an incredible job!

Congratulations to Ted for gaining his County Umpiring Colours - and being one of the first ever recipients of this honour. He also graduated from Stage Two to Stage Three after an excellent year of officiating for club and county.

Ethan should also be commended on his selection - showing incredibly fast progress as an official to be put forward for this event - and then to do a top class job.
