Well done to all our junior sides today. Both sides managed to get goals, wins and points on the board in the last round of fixtures before the Christmas break.
Junior Girls
The girls did a super job in Eastbourne, winning two games from three against Eastbourne and East Grinstead. There was some lovely attacking play and some dogged defending. The team worked together superbly with all of them making important passes and tackles. Player of the day went to Olivia for great pivot play and telling interceptions.
Thanks to Julie for coaching and umpiring and to the lovely parents who supported enthusiastically.
Junior Boys
Crowborough hosted the boys matches. Playing against current county champs at under 10 and under 12 levels (Lewes and East Grinstead), they faced mighty opponents. However, they did well with a win and a draw against East Grinstead! Goals came from Hayden and player of the day went to Beauden. All played vey well with each player contributing greatly.
Thanks to coaches Andy and Vicky Dennett, pitch organiser Hillary Brown and to our umpires Izzy, Will and Lucy. A big thanks to our great parental team who moved goals, took pictures, kitted up keepers, organised the teas, hoovered a lot and a lot, lot more!
This was a super way for our young sides to go into our Christmas break. We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and look forward to training again in the New Year!
