A Great Weekend For Our Junior Crows

This Sunday saw an amazingly productive and successful tournament for both boys and girls junior sides.

Junior Girls

The girls travelled to Brighton early Sunday morning for a full day of hockey. Their day started with a game against a strong East Grinstead side, getting off to a slow start with a 5-1 loss. However, their second game against a second East Grinstead side ended in a 2-0 win, the little Crows finding their rhythm. After that, they went on to beat Brighton 5-2 and won their final game against Eastbourne 3-0. Goal scorers included Olivia (x4), Charlotte (x6) and Tilly (x1). The girls have come on so much in these past couple of weeks and hope to go on to win many more games in upcoming junior tournaments. The side were coached by Julie Bradshaw who did an amazing job at directing and entertaining the girls throughout the day.

Junior Boys

The boys travelled to Lewes at the same time on Sunday morning to play another tournament. Their day began with a difficult game against Worthing which ended in a well earned 0-0 draw. Their second game also ended in a 0-0 draw against East Grinstead after half an hour of hard work and determination from all players on the pitch. Unfortunately, the last game played ended in a 6-0 loss against the home team (Lewes), but every player came away having enjoyed their day and having gained much more match experience which they can take into development matches within the next few years. Overall, a very eventful and educational day for all. A massive thank you to Vicky and Andy Dennett who coached the team all day and kept up the team spirit for the whole time.

Well done to both teams who played yesterday and thank you to all the coaches and parents involved with the teams.
