Final Pre-Season Friendlies

Saturday the 18th saw the last friendlies before the 2021/2022 season begins!

The day began with a home match for the club's Ladies Twos team. Starting at 10:30, the ladies battled hard against a skilled Hailsham team. The first half bought a goal for each side, Annie Marr deflecting a spectacular ball into the roof of the net. Crowborough were confident entering the second half, their excellent defending meaning that they did not concede any more goals. Two more goals from the amazing Bex secured a well-deserved win of 3-1.

Directly afterwards, the Mens Ones side played against Horley at 12:00. The home side began quickly, hitting the post within the first ten minutes. The game was extremely rapid, each player running their fair share for the team. The game ended 2-1 to Crowborough, a well-worked win.

Finally, Girls Development travelled to Worthing at 16:00 to play an extremely fast-paced game. Despite beginning with 10 players, (two of which were junior boys) the team worked hard throughout, their passing and ball skills greatly improved. After conceding a goal, the team immediately moved on and fought even harder, pushing themselves to ensure they not only did not concede more, but win the game. Goals from Rosie Rawlings and Lucy Gibson secured the win, the game ending with a 2-1 victory.

Well done to everyone who played today and good luck with the start of the season next week!
