Fixtures Secretary

Julie is our Fixtures Secretary and Umpire co-ordinator. She has had various roles with the club over the past 14 years including organising the development sides and helping with junior training. As well as helping to organise Crowborough HC, she has been the League Secretary for the Sussex Ladies Leagues for 2 seasons and a panel umpire for one (resulting in a collection of fluorescent t-shirts and coats).

Club captain / Social

Lucy has been playing hockey for over ten years and made the move to Crowborough five years ago. In her words, it’s ‘the best sports club’ she’s ever been a part of! The friendly, whole-club community ethos really makes it something special. Her roles are club captain and social secretary. As club captain, Lucy works with all of the captains to ensure the best outcomes, not only for all teams but the club as a whole. As social secretary, she’s especially keen to make sure we have lots of hockey events to look forward to throughout the season.

Dani has been playing hockey for CHC since 2011 and wanted to do more for the club she loved. Dani was nominated to perform the duties of Club Secretary and was quickly placed in the role. Dani also coordinates the clubs kit and playing shirts. Dani's role is to manage all communication between committee members, CHC members and outside organisations. If you have any questions, Danielle is your person.

Vicky has been playing hockey for the past 15 years after making the transition from football where she played for Coventry City. She is captain of the Ladies 2nd XI team and has also organised junior tournaments and Vets games. The highlights of her time with CHC were captaining the winning team in The Vase Final in 2015-16, gaining promotion to Division Two as title winners in 2019-20 and seeing the U10 and U12s sides win medals at Sussex tournaments.

Club President

Hilary has been a member of CHC since its inception in 1968.  In that time, Hilary has seen it grow to provide teams for all development ages across both men and women. CHC is a friendly club with families becoming involved either as players, officials or socially.

“A great Club of which I am proud to be President.”

Hamish has played since a youth at Crowborough, playing and vice captaining the Men's Ones as well as representing County sides.

He has recently taken over the role of Men's Twos captain and is excited to help develop the players coming through - and in the Ladies Section too where he is Coach.

Girls Development manager

Amanda has looked after the girl’s development team for the past three years and says it has been a joy and a pleasure to see the progress the girls have made during this time.

She played hockey from the age of 11, playing for and captained Sussex at u16 and u18 levels. She took time out to have a family but found her way back via CHC.
